If You Were a Super Hero for a Day…

April 2, 2014
by

What would you do to change Korea for the better?

The Avengers came to Seoul last week and brought out hundreds of people and hundreds of opinions on how Korea should be doing things. You would think that our politicians would have better foresight and predict the onslaught of negativity directed at the closing of a major bridge, and the fact that every citizen in Seoul was not allowed to meet the superheros.

But how can we right these wrongs? What can be done to correct the mistakes of the minority on the majority? Surely a strong force can be brought forward to win the day for the man in the street and to save Korea from anothe embarrassing incident. Who can do it?

Well, what better way to protect the majority from the minority, than by calling forth an even smaller minority; one single super hero must save the day, and save Korea!

Your task for this week is:

You must describe your superhero who will solve one serious problem in Korea’s society today!

What is your super hero’s name, and how does he or she look? Does he or she have a distinctive symbol that everyone can recognise? How does your super hero travel around Korea? Is he or she based in one city or all over the country?

You must explain why your superhero must solve this problem over all other problems, and you must explain how your superhero will go about doing it. Who is your super hero’s arch enemy and what must your superhero do to vanquish his or her rival?

Your superhero can have one super-power, which he or she can use to save the day for Korea. What is this power and how can he or she use it?

Good luck!

First, the name of my super hero is ‘Happy Virus’. Actually it is quietly childish, but the meaning in relating to this name is very important. These days, many people suffer from depression and it is most major reason to kill people, compared to any accidents or diseases. Sadly, Korea is the first to suicide rate in all around the world, according to the report of OECD during nine years. This is a contributing factor that Depression should be deleted in Korea and ‘Happy Virus’ should be existed. then what should he do for removing depression? He has a special ability to delete someone’s bad memory and spread funny memory. If someone suffer from bad memory, ‘Happy Virus’ appeared in a moment and he repel positive memory instead of bad one. I think if this hero is existed in reality, Korea would not been notorious for first ranking in relating to suicide rate in all around the world.

I think this hero is really necessary to our society!! ‘Happy Virus’ always makes our life active. I agree with you!

Suicide.. sometimes understandable, but still not an option to take. I wish Korea could be more open to mental diseases and get rid of the prejudices, so that patients could be treated better.

Korean people like speediness and are really fast when they were doing something. Speediness is effective and important, but it makes people impoverish and rushing. Also, it can be a burden to person and be a stress. Even some people turn to farming because they couldn’t adapt this speed. As we see, slowness is receiving attention from the people nowadays. So my super hero’s name is Slowcoach. Like his name, he looks like a tortoise and wears shell. However, he is not slow like turtle. Because he has to make ease as many people as possible. He is a missionary who spread aesthetics of slow. His special ability is removing people’s stress and making people relaxed and calm. When he use his special ability, people stop everything and take a rest. His target, not enemy, is every person who is too busy and everything which makes people nervous and hectic excessively. Looking your back side. You might find him near you.

    • April 3, 2014 12:44 pm

I’m impressed with the sentences, “Looking your back side. You might find him near you.” I should find him and be calm. I need him now.

I think the idea here is that people need to relax a little and allow for things to take their own course. It’ll happen don’t worry!

Korean people are losing happiness and time for themselves. Students spend most of a day in school, their parents try to make their children study harder, young people are desperate to get a job, workers don’t enjoy their lives but work, and the socially weak and alienated people are getting more and more. Busy living their own life they are getting indifferent to the others, even a next-door neighbor. Recently, a family killed themselves after suffering from poverty, and so did some of the elderly. Many students also committed suicide because of school violence or school record. What a tragedy! Most people are losing right senses of how to live their life and how to care about the others. So here a superheroine is to help them. Her name is Yourluna, and she is from the moon. She is a tiny girl looking like a fairy with big black eyes which are as clear as spring water and bright like stars. She has a little nose and full lips, brown skin, and blond hair that shines under the moon. She has a little gold crescent moon under her right eye as her symbol. She flies as fast as a plane, and wanders all around Korea. She visits each person during the night and makes them dream that they need. This is her ability. The dream can be simply about nice places to go, interesting things to do or delicious foods. Sometimes in the dream she put them in a very hard situation, so they can experience the other’s life such as a life with severe poverty, disability and violence. She makes them dream of how their life will go without their loved ones and how they will feel if they die the next day. She does that to let people realize what a happy life really is and to make them care about each other. From a little kid to a president, no exception for her work. The dream can be a happiness or a night mare, but when they wake up they will know that it is a reality of somewhere.

Thesedays, many students, even kids, have no eonugh time to play outside. They are becoming more week and depressed. I want them to know about great pleasure how it is fun to play outside.

So here is the super hero “Great Boomber Man”.

His body is made of bombs and his head is kind of empty monitor. Whenever this boomber man meet someone, this empty monitor offer their childhood friends or happy scene that they had and remind them of happy memories. His ability is to take inner kids out and play with many student, who are sick of their hard times, making them not to think about their duties. Futhermore, Great Boomber Man can explode anything that harass many student such as private academy and can make playground on the spot.

Did you see the Korean movie, “우아한 거짓말(elegant lie)” recently? It is about school violence ad suicide. I’m going to introduce a hero related with this problem. The hero has a goal in his life. The goal is to give everyone an internal power to overcome external ordeal. His ach enemy is not a warm-hearted internality but weakness such as extreme sense of shame, despair, and so on. He looks like sparkling lights floating on air. He could travel everywhere even in our mind using his teleport ability. His super power is reading one’s mind and naturally giving a strong mind. After his visit, everyone gets a power to endure the harsh reality of life, and has hopes. People regard him as a symbol of hope. The hope seems as though it is far away but actually being with us everyday and everywhere, so people call him a “star”. (Stars have this characteristic too.) In addition, it is added “shiny” with “star” because of his sparkling look. His name is “Shiny Star”. We do not know where he is from. However, he is always with us and encourage us when we hope to give up our own life. In conclusion, he is helpful to the problem, “school violence and suicide” and solves it.

Guys! Please don’t confuse unhappiness with depression. Both are very, very different. Depression is not something that is easily cured with a happy memory or a smile, and is significant mental health issue. Understanding it and recognising it can be one of the first steps to reducing its effects on society, and I think that in Korea there is a strong misunderstanding of depression. Here’s are a few links for more info:

I am a hero. Not only me, but also you.
Historically, a hero was someone or something that people can rely on, hope that the figure could solve our problems and bring us happiness. Such conception triggered a lot of imaginations yielding many cartoon characters who all say that they will save you and the world as well. However, in my perspective, heroes should be us.
Most of the people wait for somebody to come up and resolve frustrating issues. Yet, in fact, almost every problems that keep us far from happiness are actually tasks that every people can deal with. If you invest just a few minutes in your daily routine, you can be a hero who can change the world; picking up a trash from the street, helping your neighbor moving heavy things to the elevator, feeding some food to an abandoned cat and even just talking to your friend how he’s doing. The outcomes of those simple tasks are not even possible to measure as each of them are all valuable to the world. A cleaned street makes people walk without stress, a quick help for your neighbor might lead to another help to his own neighbor, and a short conversation with a friend can give him some energy to overcome his difficulties. So, let go of your fear worrying about the results. Once you get rid of the fear that is blocking you toward infinite strength, you will live a life without any miserable thoughts and help others to follow your way as well.
Heroes are not the ones who have superpower such as teleporting or flying. The ones who do not have fear in making himself and others happy will be named as true heroes. Trust your power, overcome your fear, and we will see a world only with smiles.

If women ask for W Protector’s help, he will appear in front of her. W Protector has the symbol ‘W’. When the criminals meet him, they’ll walk away in alarm. because W Protector has martial arts skill and his body made of steel. So any offenders can’t beat W Protector. Korean society is full of competition. Especially, nowadays, competition is getting worse. In schools, we teach how to get higher score than other students. In companies, we emphasize how to sell more goods and sevices than rival companies. Korea society has been overemphasizing the value of competition for a long time. Unfortunately, our generation concentrate more on competition rather than cooperation. Let us look around ourselves. We are too senstive, aggresive and lack of the sprit of team work. Fortunately, good news is that our superhero came our society to relieve those problems. His name is Ko-operation. He is a tall gentle man with twinckling eyes which make people reliable. He always smiles on people. There is no such a sharp thing on his face and he has a round nose and big lips. He is wearing black suit with K mark on his left chest as his special symbol. He does not have to go some place because he has an incredible ability. He has special power to summon people in one place. People who are summoned by him are charged with some cooperation tasks such as builing houses for poor people, cleaning and even smiling or praising one another. The only thing they can go back to their daily life is working together and completing their assingments. During working, they are not allowed to fight against or yell out in anger each other no matter how the works are difficult. Competition are allowed in case of comporting eagerly each other. As a result of Ko-operation’s ability, people can learn the importance of cooperation. Nowadays, our superhero is extremely busy summoning arrogant politicians. The working place is always filled with bloated politicians. So, even if you want to meet politicains, you do not need to go to the National Assembly Building because they are so busy collaborating with their competitors in another place.

My super hero’s name is some’s shoes. At first glance, it sounds ridiculous but it has significant meaning.
Everyone knows proverb: put your self in one’s shoes
This is motif of my hero.
Lots of people in korea often fight each other because they have different point of view.
Most of them insist that their opinion or behavior is always right and others’ not. so this kind of perspective have triggered labor dispute, politician’s fight and personal conflict in korea. So we need our superhero desperately.
Our super hero resembles fairy and she can appear through mirror which is her symbol. When we have conflict with someone, we go to mirror and call her.
By doing so, she travel all over the country and shows different perspective of others. Her enemy is ill feelings which refuse to sympathize with others for their interest. However by provoking compassion and sympathy in people’s mind, she can eliminate enemy. By doing so, she can contribute to piece of korea.

According to some statics conducted by researcher in Korea, less than one volume the number of books is read by people per month. Maybe many people should compulsively be a reader by their parent when they were young. However, recent adults are avoiding to have a reading time , saying he is too busy or his environment is not well or something. What is an advantage of reading of people? Simply put, reading would lead us to have our own subjectivity through many writers’ opinions in books. In a Korean society, most people are arguing that their assertion is absolutely right and another thing is not true. This situation especially can be seen in a political thing. In this circumstance, setting own subjectivity might be hard thing but reading can be one of the way to solve this problem.

So, I want to be a “helpereader”(helper+reader) for everyone. An appearance of helpereader is similar with common people except with his head. Because he has read so many books, his head is full of knowledge and finally becomes a bigger head than any other.

The way to help people who don’t read is that he always appear in reading people who can’t understand book’s contents and explains that! Also, he recommends a suitable book which is based on people’s taste if they dislike to read. For him, very important thing is a right to punish people who did not read more than two books per month. This punishment which is approved by citizen all over the world is to prevent people from using a smart phone during two days. why is it smart phones? Because this phone cause people doing a ‘kaka-o-talk’ in a time which has to be spend reading a book. And, this fact was proven in a survey that there is a direct connection between the increase of students having a smart phone and the decline in reading. In that, smart phones might be an enemy of helpereader. So, he has to vanquish a time which need to be spared for reading.

Is there any people who need a helpereder? He may not hesitate going to you. Just call him right now!

Is this statistic real? There are plenty of cynics among us who would believe this to be the case, what with all the smartphones on public transport where people used to read newspapers, but I’d like to see the evidence. It’s quite likely that many people are reading on their phones what they used to read on paper.

As many other countries, Korea has the big problem of runaway teenagers.
Teenagers are our future. And compared to adults, they must be protected
and taken care of. For this problem there is a special hero. His name is
“Sherpa”. Generally, Sherpa is a name of people who live in Himalaya
province, helps climber until they can find their destination well.
I focus on destination. Hero “Sherpa” also helps runaway teenagers find
their way and come back to their home. In case of appearance, Sherpa
looks like “Peter pan”. He wears a set of green clothes. Green hat,
green shirt, and green boots. The reason why Sherpa looks likfe peter
pan is that he has no aversion to runaway teenagers. Usually, runaway
teenagers have aversion to their adults and other many things. But,
Sherpa’s appearance is just similar to peter pan, and this natural
looking is helpful for approaching them easily.
Sherpa’s super skill is that he can show the touching 3 dimension image
in the air like Iron Man. This images are related to runaway teenagers.
Such as their childborn pictures, their family picture. By showing
these images, Sherpa tries to change runaway children’s mind.
Sherpa also uses public transportation. Because he does not want to
give too much herotic first impression them.
I think that Sherpa makes Korea more happy country by his ability.

I have been imagined this kind of thing before. Because I often need unbelievable ablility that can slove certain troubles in our society. Anyway, let’s start with my imagination of super hero. His name is Powpow (shortened version of powerful-powerful). He exactly looks like a robot especailly iron-man. Because this kind of appearance can present powerful and brave ability very effectively. Also, he can jump, fly and even instant move one area to others. The most important part, his super power is protecting many negative situation at the time of a sudden crime. This super power is set for the poor and the weak who have less financial ability, lower social status and a little self-confidence. Powpow will directly appear each place where the poor face criminals, no way to get out of. He will proctect them from getting hurt and even blame those criminals in different ways. I think that we have so many crimes targetting the poor and the weak. Therefore, my imagination made my own super-hero Powpow hoping that there will be less events of taking away happiness from weak people.

My hero’s name is ‘sergeant man.’ He always live in the military camp, because he are doing a military service, even now. He usually wears a silk crape(깔깔이) and puts on a military cap. He is usually sleeping in the camp all day long, or watching TV when girl group idols appear on the TV. At that time their fighting power is maximized. His base is all Korea territory. So he can help all of citizens whenever they need.
Recently, he saved many lives in Korea. In this winter, a heavy snow striked to many houses, which are in Gangwon-do especially live only old men and women. They don’t have power to remove a heavy snow. At that time, our super hero, ‘sergeant man’ came to save them. Commonly, he doesn’t like work, and play all day long in the camp. But somebody calls him, he changes and works hard to help.(Actually it is his superpower.) He can use not only a gun well, but also various kind of shovel, such as normal shovel, rectangular shovel, and snow shovel.

In these days, the number of sexual assault cases is increasing. The main problems are that Korean have a lack of knowledge about sexual crimes and shift the blame on to victims also. Because of this circumstances, the rates of sexual crime has been getting higher than past and crimes have been getting more terrible. To solve this problems, my super hero’s name is ‘Justice’ and she help woman who face with criminals. Justice can see, hear everything about sexual crimes. So she prevents that crimes, punishes criminals and also educates people. Justice wears short black pants and t-shirts and it represents that clothes of woman don’t have any relationships with sexual crimes. The reason why she wears black clothes is that most of people using white color by meaning of chastity. So I want to against with this general concept. Justice helps people not only woman but also man. Sexual criminal happens with man too. And there are no solutions with sexual crime of man, especially in army or androcentric work places. She’s rival is not particular villains. It could be ordinary people who has misconception of sexual crime. So I hope that justice can help korean from this heinous crimes.

He has some special abilities. One of the skills he can use is he can create money and gold. On top of that, as usual in heroes, he can fly. His area is based on all over the country and he goes everywhere if someone needs him. His main job is to decrease the portion of the poor in the country. These days, the gap between the rich and the poor is getting bigger and bigger. So, he is trying to decrease the gap. His main enemy is rich groups in the country because all the rich wants to keep their power. However, what he is trying to do is not make those poor people ‘rich’. He just helps those extremely poor so that they can at least eat and sleep well. There are so many poor people in Korea who are dying from starvation and cold. According to a survey, Koreans worked an average of ten and a half hours a day last year. This result demonstrated that Korean worked a lot more than other OECD nations’ average hours of labour. Because of this Koreans don’t have enough time to spend for themselves. Many parents want to spend their time with their children and others want to enjoy their spare time doing what they want. However Koreans have to work so much time that they can’t do other things except work. Thus many people get a lot of stress and they can’t enjoy their life fully. To solve this problem here is a hero whose name is “time keeper”. This hero looks like grandfather with chubby body and he always gives a warm smile. Many workers are looking forward to weekend while they are working and every worker thinks weekend is too short. This hero’s ability is that he can extend the one day of weekend time from 24 hours to 48 hours so people can spend time with their families or friends or do what they usually do to get rid of stress from work. However this hero’s ability has limit for people to use, so people can’t use his ability indefinitely. Even though his ability limit this hero can help Koreans who are weary of too much work.

Anyway, my hero slowly approached the man with a friendly smile and whispered his own magic spell! After that, the man who cut in line in front of me stepped back and he went to the backmost line. My hero performs his mission this way. In addition to that, he always have control over many immoral behaviors including smoking in the toilet, dropping litter on street, sitting at handicapped seating, and so on. Certainly, his role has affected our society and will exert a favorable influence upon the people who commit a immoral act.

If I were a super hero, I would be a filter that change polluted air to clean air by breathing. When I inhale, bad air go into me and it would change to clean air. As you know, air pollution is a serious problem these days. Many people are suffering from rhinitis because of the fine dust that blew from China. Even young child living China got lung cancer because of the serious air pollution. If I can change the air into clean O2, people can be happy.

Recently, we can often hear the news of murder and arson between neighbors. What’s more shocking is that the reason of them was a noise between floors and neighbors next to each other. Since most people in Korea live in apartment, noise problem is one of the most serious problem.
To solve this serious problem, my personal super hero, “Dr. Noise” is launching! He has very special ability to solve noise problem. You may thought that Dr. Noise protect noise problem by making some soundproof material, or some direct methods. However, this superhero uses very unusual, special way that no one couldn’t imagined. It is the ability to communicate.
Why communication? In my opinion, most noise conflicts between neighbors come from the lack of understanding each other. Dr. Noise has great power to make a conversation between neighbors, and make them understand their situation. This simple ability has powerful effect. With just couple of words, one of the most serious problem turns into not a big deal!
In fact, this superhero can be anyone who has a problem of noise between neighbors. It is a simple problem that can be easily solved. So if someone has trouble with this problem, I suggest to be a ‘hero’, and try to communicate with your neighbors!

My suprrheroin is known as QT which is a simplified form of queen of truth. Actually this name came from iron man. She has nice abdominal muscles and she travles by her folding wing because of terrible traffic jam in Korea. Her arch enemy is the press of Korea which is so contaminated by lots of corruption. Even though there’re tremendous ways to reveal truths like twitter, facebook and so on, still thousands of truths are concealed by high-ranking government officials. She tries to let us know how many facts are concealed. She thinks that all of people who live in Korea have right for knowing the real aspect of issues. No matter where she go, she record all the scene and upload on her page. Yes. Her weapon is her page like twitter. Also her weapon is word. She believes that word is stronger than physical power. Moreover she believes that because of her will and duty, she have to behave honestly. Thanks to her, citizen in Korea can know what’s happening in here and can respond independently.

Let’s introduce my hero! Before I start it, I have a question. It is simple but difficult to answer. Are you happy now? Some of you might say yes, but others not. I am sure that even those who answer yes are not always happy. All of us have a tiny problem so that something makes us feeling worse.
In this sense, I thought that the most important hero’s power is making people happy. Here is the hero so called “Hugsmil”. It is stemmed from “Hug(e)smil(e)”. His unique ability is that people around in 10km become happy. Even though he does not do anything, only standing, sitting in the middle of crowd are affective. When he knew himself that he has unbelievable power, he worried about recognizing him. Because of that he did not decided to wear hero style clothes. Wearing normal clothes as like normal guy is his choice.
Imagine low credit in school, lateness, lots of work to solve right now, sad story, hard to get a job, farewell, death, sick, threat. Those are unstable factor to make us unhappy. However, if “Hugsmil” is in the middle of people, they are happy even though they do not know the reason why they are suddenly happy. Happy mortals make bright society that is because I thought the hero “Hugsmil” is essential in the world.

How many people do you think look at the sky once every day? I think not. Sky is a kind of symbol that represents all the things around you. In modern society, it is so busy and full of competition. Especially Koreans are famous for hurry people, so my hero LAY is appeared. LAY stands for ‘Look Around You’. She has a super power of giving people a short relaxation. Because she has a special ability, after she passes by someone, he or she get a chance to get relaxed. Even though the effect continuous time is not long, people can get a chance to look around them. They can look up at the sky with a light smile or listen a bird’s singing outside the window. This short time refreshes people’s mind, and they can live sweeter life. Because of LAY’s tiny appearance, people cannot notice well of it’s being, but people can feel a great relaxation that LAY gives naturally. Also because of its tiny figure, my hero is at the mercy of the wind. It means that she move around by wind, airflow. When the wind blows softly, remind LAY and enjoy your short relaxation.

The number of new born babies in last year was 436,600. It is the secondly lowest statistics after 2005. It also have never exceeded 500,000 since 2002. It is serious situation because companies will suffer from a manpower shortage and national economy will be difficult to grow if there are no new born babies. And also social insurance will be encountered because of a manpower shortage. There is only Korea which recorded the average birthrate under 1.3 per woman for 13 years of OECD member nation. There are many reasons why woman does not give birth to a baby. Above all, they feel burden when they have a baby because they have to care a baby for a long time carefully. Therefore, they should quit work and should focus on childcare. Now, here she is a hero who is not old-fashioned but brand-new. Her name is Super-Nanny! She is the hero who can solve the childcare problem.
She looks a little bit chubby but she looks so strong because of her appearance. She always wear an apron with race so people can recognize her. She has a chidcare ability. She is never untired and also she can care many babies. She works in Seoul generally. Her ability dose not harm babies mentally and physically. Moreover, she has an ability which can teleport. Thus, she rapidly move and can protect babies by using this ability when they cry or they are urgent. Therefore, parents can put the child into her hands and do not have to worry about childcare. There is only an enemy who bothers her. The enemy makes babies cry by frightening. However, she has foresight Thus, she predicts the future of babies and can protect from her enemy.
Existence of the hero is so important because low birth rate is going on and even woman does not want to marry someone nowadays. If this situation continue in nation, nation cannot subsist. New generation should grow continuously in order to be a powerful nation. Nation will be disappeared and we will have difficulty in keeping our identity if there are no people who can inherit our nation. In conclusion, we have to really appreciate the existence of Super-Nanny.

These days, the continuously increasing rate of school violence in Korea has become a common interest for all of us. School violence is not a mere problem of school but is a problem of the society and, furthermore, the nation’s problem. Despite efforts to combat school violence, many school bullies have no guilty for their behavior and even take revenge on the victims who report to police. So here a superhero related with this problem. His name is Stop Bullying Man. His appearance and ways to live are not significantly different from ordinary people. But he has special ability to convey feelings. When he keep eye contact with the bullies, they will suffer from the same feeling of victims whenever they torment someone. If they want to seek relief from the suffering, they must be stop the bullying.

Korean people are fully occupied with work. Even small children are very busy with their study and after-school activities. That sounds not only passionate but actually stressful. People are exhausted and short of time for a rest because they have too much workload. So here is my superhero ‘Tea man’ for them. When people are like zombie because of their heavy work, Tea man appears. He will treat some of tea for them in his machinery chest and offer a table. Tea time, even it is brief, makes people relax. While people have tea time their pressure about deadline and stress from work can be relaxed. And if you have tea time together with someone you can get close to each other through some chatter forgetting competition. Tea man will reduce the level of mental stress of Korean society.

In this environment, many people in Korea are suffered from malicious messages not only the person who are directly related to the article but also the person who read the article and messages. To solve the matter, we need a superhero ‘Bully Destroyer’. He is very rational and look like gentlemen but he enjoy hitting rascally people. He have the ability to detect the meaningless malicious messages as soon as when it posted on the articles. Then, He tracking the IP address, fly to that point right away. ‘Bully Destroyer’ will punch the bully terribly no more wrote the bad comments behind the anonymous. Owlman, he finally comes!
Owlman is my hero’s name. First of all he looks like an owl because of his wings and large fake eyes. The reason I call the eyes fake is he wears a mask that helps the hero see more far and brightly. So it means nobody could see his face. The mask is pretty important for safety of the hero beacause he could be revenged by bad people. His costume is black because he should be not easily seen by people. Though he is a hero, he doesn’t have a cape, just a elastic suit. He have a symbol of owl in his chest. He flies all over the peninsula.
The reason why I make this hero comes from my experience. When I was 19, a man who wears sportswear, adidas and a hat chased me. It was 11 o’clock and I was just going home after class. I was so scary and embarassed that I needed others’ help. However I couldn’t see anyone at that night, even a guard in apartment. From this experience, I consider about night guard who help the people who are in danger at night. No matter they are man or woman, Owlman helps everyone who need his help.
To say these more clearly, Owlman fly all over the sky at night. He look around whether there are some people who need help. If there is a incident that somebody is attacked or chased by stranger, he takes a picture or record it beacuse of the evidences. Then he lands to the ground and arrests him. Owlman hands over the criminal to the police. These are the things that owlman do. So there’s no exact rival in this world, perhaps potential criminal might be. His main technique that only he has is flying.

In these days, in Korea, many educational issues are really in the middle of controversies. The one of the biggest issues in about KSAT (Korea Scholastic Assessment Test).

To be chosen for universities, almost students study hard until night, and even small children get stressed for their studying. Their parents make them always study without any concerns about their happiness. Why these young people have to live like this? Do this KSAT make them really good?

To safe the young, Here my hero is! Her name is “Nostudy” If people touch her hand once, they will get somewhat weird feelings. Then, after a couple of hours, the people will be very very smart. They don’t need to worry about their test. The people can have the ability to solve all questions in front of them. It will take less 3 minutes.

What the most important thing is that all people who touch “nostudy” have the same competence. It means people don’t have to compete with others anymore.

How about “Nostudy”? Don’t you need “Nostudy” right now?

Who do you want to be in your next life, Kristen Stewart or Joan K. Rowling? Kristen is one of the most beautiful women in the world, at the same time, however she is criticized because of her wooden acting. Joan K. Rowling is, as all you guys know, the author of Harry Potter Series but she is not quite beautiful as Kristen. Here, I intended to symbolize beauty with Kristen and talents with Joan. If I were asked that questions, I might hesitate for a moment, but I’ll choose Joan K. Rowling. What about the other Koreans? I can’t sure but this can be some clue. I went to Gangnam the other day, and saw more than 10 women who got plastic surgery, only in 30 minutes. Plastic surgery is not surgery anymore in Korea; people don’t take it seriously. I think this social trend which don’t take surgery heavy and look for beauty recklessly is the problem. Thus, I want to name my superhero Ms. IMAGE-I AM ALREADY GOOD ENOUGH. If one thinks that he/she is already good enough, then they won’t want the surgical blades on their face. Ms. IMAGE doesn’t have certain face or body. She is the IMAGE of yourself in the best way; if you are a girl who weighs more than 100kg, and then your Ms. IMAGE is you in a greater shape. She is promoting you to work out and fix your diet by showing the best look of you; but she does not stimulate you to get laid on the bed of the hospital. Ms. IMAGE is what you create. For me, she is myself in a better shape. Who is your Ms. IMAGE?

My super hero’s name is Protector.
His core role is to protect cultural assets of Korea.
When it comes to his ability, he is good at diplomatic negotiations. Whenever there is a diplomatic negotiation related to our cultural assets, he always succeeds in negotiating it.
And he have eyes that can recognize condition of cultural assets, so he can check cultural assets whether they have a serious damages in it or not.
As for his appearance, he looks like a classical scholar of the Joseon Dynasty. He evokes impression of dignity and grace. He wears Hanbok, the national costume of Korea or clothes made from Hanji, the traditional Korean paper. Through these clothes he widely promotes the superiority and the beauty of our traditional clothing.
When it comes to his means of transportation, he has a special horse that can run faster than a car. He rides the horse when a emergency situations occurs but at other times he uses public transportations because he loves to communicate with the public.
He cares view of the public about cultural assets and tries hard to inculcate importance of cultural asset protection.

Korea have many magnificent cultural assets that have to be protected safely.
But in fact, the law of Korea is insufficient to protect our assets completely.
Not only that, awareness of the public about the importance of cultural assets protection is also insufficient. I want my hero to fix these problems of Korea.
As a result, he can contribute the protection of our precious heritages.

Statistics show criminals which escpecially targeting the children and women are increase each and every year. It’s time to show up my hero ” Scalet Vampire “. My hero has incredibly beautiful face and body. She is beautiful but she seems strong. Her body shaped well. She can fly and she able to hear the all the sounds in Korea. She shows up when child or women get in troubles. When villian who try to attack the child or women, she shows up and kick ass the villian and torture them away. She try hard to make the safe world.

I come up with this idea because I saw the news which report the case of women or children who eraped or attacked by the crimal at least once in a week. And there is famous incident called Jodosoon incident. Jodosoon is the name of crilminal and he eraped the 3rd grade elementry school girl. She survived but her all over intestine are tored so she forever carry the bag for her poop because she dosen’t have the anus. This incidents flimized. Title of the movie is 소원. I was so furious after saw that movie. It shoun’t happen.

As one of the college girl, I also fear about that because I know I also can be one. Scalaet Vampire will reduce the crime rates which is concerned the wome and chlidren and brings the safety society.

My super heroes are three and they are triplets. ‘One’, ‘More’, ‘Time’ are each name of them. Nowadays, for Korea the crime rate is soaring especially the increase in sexual assault. So many people struggle against fear and distrust the result of that. When someone is going to commit a crime or crime was occurred, three heroes will fly to the scene. At first, ‘One’ will punish the offender severely. Second, ‘More’ will turn back the time and make him think one more time before delinquency. Lastly, ‘Time’ will erase the memory of crime from the victim. The trio O.M.T usually looks happy and always smiles, but they become scary when accidents happen. Also they go business trip to other countries so there are a lot of their alter egos all around the world.
I think it would be very nice if they were real-life super heroes living in Korea for the better future! 🙂

However, when he sits down in front of computer, all changes differently. He chases from malicious comments to international crimes like leaking personal information. He hacks databases of criminals and give their information to the Interpol or National Intelligence Service. Anything cannot prevent his invasion. Among governments, they use secret crow symbol in order to hide Hack.A`s identity from gangs. Nowadays, Korea faced on many serious personal information leakages. Most of koreans are the victim of these leakages. Hack.A use his special brain that is 6 times smarter than normal brain. He might be able to control whole computer system of the world on his own, if he want. However he is person who is filled with morals in his mind.

I am sorry for the late submit.

    “Ampersand”

In Korea, there is a villain, ‘Insidious Contemner’. It makes people despise others just because they have different thought from them. The villain exerts its influence in political world first, and extend to ordinary people’s lives. Therefore People make sharp conflicts, dividing into only two extremes without moderation. It manipulate people into cognizing differences as a problems of right and wrong, having view of black and white, and disparaging the opponents’ opinion.

So here is the advent of a savior. The superhero is so tiny that we can not see it, but its appearance is similar to a integral sign or a treble clef, telling us what its supernatural power is. As it moves around by sound wave, it makes an opponent’s tone smooth and silky. Also when it arrives one’s ears with the words becoming mild, it whispers as quietly as the one can’t perceive, “You can discuss with, respect, and understand your opponent but also admit varieties. So its name is Ampersand(&), because it can make the world of coexistence.

As we use integral calculus to figure out an area curve which can never been computed with mere multiplication, Ampersand tell us that society is made up of dignities of various individuals which can never been assessed by just a simple standard. Our superhero, Ampersand will vanquish its rival, ‘Insidious Contemner’ and help us to live in more peaceful and considerate Korea.
