Climate Change: No Problem?

November 10, 2015

Our Earth is warming up, or so says NASA. According to the U.S. space organization, 2014 was the hottest year on record, and the ten hottest years have all occurred since 1998. This interesting, if not shocking, increase in temperature is leading to changes to our climate. Unfortunately, the exact causes of climate change have still not been discovered yet. According to a significant majority of the world’s scientists (approximately 97%), human activity, like burning fossil fuels, plays a role. However, the extent to which human activity affects climate and the extent to which the Earth’s natural processes do so is not fully understood.

In cyberspace, comment sections buzz about whether the changes to climate are natural or man-made. Viewpoints on this hotly contested issue range from climate change causing an apocalyptic destruction of the environment to an outright denial that climate change is even occurring. Many commenters post links to scientific information (albeit often of dubious quality) to strengthen their arguments, either one way or the other. How can it be that opinions on climate change, even from reasonable people, be so diametrically opposed? Why is there so much dispute about climate change science?

With this in mind, I was intrigued by the following article “Koreans less concerned about Climate Change Than Five Years Ago” and I wondered what could account for the decrease in concern. So I have a question: Is climate change an important issue to you? Why or why not?

Today, we are facing lots of environmental problems. Especially Global warmingthat cause climate changes is the most serious problem on nowadays. In dictionary, Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of Earth’s climate system. It’s also an environmental problem that is caused by Green House Gases (GHG). As its concentration was too improved, it made Global warming more serious. Then why the global warming is issued on nowadays? And why it must be solved? And what is the problem from the global warming? Now I’d like to tell you about some major reasons. First, it melts a lot of glacier. An increase in global temperature causes a rise in sea levels and a change in the amount and pattern of precipitation. Because of it, the Northpoles’ animals are facing the danger of extinct. Second, more frequent extreme weather events including heat waves, droughts and heavy rainfall because of shifting temperature regimes. And it affects to humans. Because decreasing crop yields and the loss of habitat from inundation lead to food deficiency. It might be hard to believe, but it is true. We should solve this terrible environmental problem. Fundamentally, this all problem is caused by CO2. So we should reduce CO2. These all things are caused by human. For this reason, we have to attention about climate change and try to change or overcome these problems. As a person who live on earth, i have a duty to protect earth from climate change. Not only me, but also all people who live on earth, we have to have more concern about earth conditions.

I also think that destruction made by man returns to man finally. We have a duty to preserve the earth from negatively changing anymore!

I agree with you. I think the main reason of global warming and abnormal climate change is development by people. We must remember we are just one part of nature.

Some people including scientists have insisted that the global warming is a natural phenomenon, in that glacial epoch and the thaw – the period of ice melt – appear in turn. Although the cause of the global warming is obscure now, crises of climate change are obvious. In other words, the fact that we do not know the cause of warming does not mean that we do not have to pay attention of the results. Precautions against climate change are needed.

I do not know that climate change can decrease the crop yields(but by thinking again, it is very reasonable result becuase agriculture is greatly affected by climate). I know climate change is serious problem and how important to solve this for our future generations. However in my opinion there are lots of information about how serious the climate change is, the agreements or discussions to regulate the causes of climate change – CO2, GHG – are not enough. I regret myself that I do not concern much about climate change.

To prevent global warming, we have to something, although it is small work. To reduce CO2, people must use fossil fuels less, and ride a bicycle rahter than car or transportation. Our trivial actions can prevent earth.

I agree that all people should make an effort to prevent climate change. However, most people have no time to consider huge problems like climate change because they encounter minor problems for earning a living. Before concerning climate change, other minor matters need to be solved.

What I want to say is many people still don’t know the importance of environment and their priority is economic develpoment. However, their obsession about the money more than environment will demand them to pay for restoring environment. It’s paradox.

Climate change has been discussed for several years, and causes of it are also under debate. Despite uncertainty of the causes, I think climate change obviously exists, and Korea is no exception. Although I, as other Korean people, have gradually been losing interest in the issue these days, there remain several appreciable changes, which I am closely observing. One of them is the change of fish species in the eastern coast of Korea. My hometown is Sokcho, Gangwon-do, a seaside city adjacent to the coast. 20 years ago, Sokcho was famous for enormous catch of pollacks, but because of an increase in water temperature, the East Sea cannot be a suitable habitat for the fish any more. The fact that the great deal of the fish, which I used to enjoy eating, has plummeted down depresses me. Another change is that the period of spring and autumn has shortened. In the Korean Peninsula, temperature polarization, a phenomenon that the temperature get extremely colder and hotter, has been proceeding. It means that Mt. Seorak, for which Sokcho is also famous, may not maintain the time of autumn foliage. Moreover, in spring we might not be able to go to the picnic under the cherry blossoms in Kyung-Hee University. In conclusion, though I just microscopically limit the issue to my case, ecosystem changes and disappearing landscape resulting from climate change can negatively affect to our life, so Korean including me must not neglect it no longer.

The changes resulted from climate change you stated are very impressing to me. They are so connected with me that I feel sorrowful… Although I did not came from Gangwon-do, me and my family usually go to there during summer vacation because it is cooler than other cities in Korea, so we can enjoy summer without humid, hot weather. Also, it has beautiful view of nature such as Mt. Seorak and East sea. However, if the climate keep changing, I could not enjoy my holiday trip anymore…

Ocean acidification and overfishing are stressing fish populations. Leading scientists, such as Sylvia Earle, predict that if we keep fishing at the current rate, there will be no fish left in 2050, just 35 years from now. Imagine yourself being parents but not being able to serve your children fish. Yikes!

I think the increase of sea temperature is a serious emvironmental problem to Korea. It means that ecosystem can be changed owing to climate change. Ecosystem is closely connected each other, so one small change could cause disastrous problems. We should do even little thing to prevent further climate change.

I have seen the news about change of fish spices in East Sea because of climate change, which means increase of sea temperature. Fish living tropical region be abel to be caught by fishers in South Korea. In addition, scenery also are changing by global warming. Timing of flower blooming is faster continually as the years pass. Unfortunately, spring and fall are slowly disappearing.

I had thought that climate change problem is not directly connected to my life until I had watched an episode of “Infinite Challenge” which is most popular and famous entertaining program in Korea. The theme of episode was ‘butterfly effect’ which means a very small change could results in gigantic change finally. For example, if a person in A country keeps refrigerator’s door opening, people in B country can suffer from rising sea level and average temperature. (I really recommend you to watch it once.) After I saw the episode, I became to believe climate change is somewhat important issue to me and us because it is related to the fact that whether people who live in opposite side on the earth survive or not and next generation can live in the earth or not. My self-seeking action could have huge destryoing impact on other’s lives. Actually, people almost have selfish thinking about their tiny but destructive action in the long run. If these selfish actions come together, they render environment unsustainable.
To alleviate the degree of climate change, we should have ‘ownership’ to where we live in. And we have to always keep in mind that we borrow the earth for several years and should give back the earth wholly to next generation. Definitely, international challenge and extablishing policies is necessary for systematic prevention. Especially, developed countries should pursue eco-friendly, symbiotical development because there are under-developed countries that are intimidated by climate change such as Tuvalu, Maldives. However, with individual ownership, we could see the prominent changes.

“…people almost have selfish thinking…developed countries should pursue eco-friendly, symbiotical development…”

Capitalism thrives on selfishness, with both positive and negative results. But excessive greed can create problems. (Problem: without an objective morality, upon what foundation can one stand to criticize another’s excessively greedy lifestyle?) Also, the powerful elites behind multinational companies and banks (i.e., the real power) depend on capitalism to maintain profits and power. Change to this system seems unlikely at this time. Because of this, my cynical side thinks excessive consumption patterns will continue until it’s too late for meaningful change. If so, millions of the most vulnerable will likely be displaced by rising seas and desertification, and suffer starvation. My optimistic side hopes more people will realize the seriousness of the problem; accept a moral responsibility to others to live a sustainable lifestyle; reduce consumption and energy use; and push for alternatives to fossil fuels.

Not until people see the result from climate change can they realize we need urgent action to protect our life from the change. So I think the best way to make people perceive the seriousness is to educate or enlighten the public about it, as “Infinite Challenge” did to you. Ironically, this is the responsibility of the government, but entertainment shows have actually done it.

    1. What could account for the decrease in concern about climate change among south koreans?

I think that there are two reasons why korean people don’t care about harmful effect of climate change seriously. First reason is that most koreans can not go through this negative effect directly in our daily life. Most of us know climate change will harm our life in some point, however, at the same time, we also think it is not present problem but futuristic on. The biggest example of this is the fact that main causes of climate change have not found yet. Also, according to my experience, text books or news always have said “fossil fuel will disappeared in 40 years.” from when I was elementary school student to now, even the news about climate change don’t seem frequently now days. In short, I think, all these factors make people less concern about this problem.
And second reason is ‘other realistic and urgent problems we face with. People in all over the world have countless problems except unusual climate. Especially South Korea is notorious for the highest suicide rate, gender gap among OECD countries, excessive competition, passive education system and over-work. Thus naturally most koreans get great deal of stress and are busy solving urgent and realistic problems such as career, studying for entrance of university, purchase of house and earning money first. Besides, as I mentioned above, climate change isn’t more threatening directly rather than this problems. Especially since economic depression from 2008, korean economy condition have not recovered. Thus, it might be enough to explain why koreans don’t regard climate change very seriously.

    2. Is climate change an important issue to you? Why or why not?

Although many koreans don’t feel negative effect directly, I think this already have impacted on our daily life. Frist critical problem is break down of 4 season in korea. When I was child, I learn that our country has clearly different 4 season: spring, summer, fall and winter. Also, a few years later, after learning this fact, I noticed that each season is 3 months. However, before learning about former fact, I had though summer and winter are 4 months, and others are 3 months respectively. In other words, from I was child, spring and fall have shortened gradually. It is so sad phenomenon. It affect agriculture too. For example Daegu was famous for production of apples, but now because of global warming, it can’t not produce apple anymore.
Other problem is unequal distribution of resources like fossil fuel, water, and electricity. Since shortage of resources worsens more and more, the fee of them rises more and more. I mindfully predict that in future, unequal distribution of resources occurs definitely. It is not future problem but present ones we face with now. Look at the traffic fee in Seoul. They rise and rise. Also tax for electricity and water have been rising too. The more climate change occur, the higher fees of resources. We must think this seriously.

That is exactly what I think. Compared to the past, Korean actually do not seem to pay attention to the change, because, I think, people do not feel the real and immediate effects from climate change. If any, they are so invisible that most people do not care them. Also, as you mentioned, risks of climate change are covered with more imminent problems.

It might sound like that. But i think , although change of agriculture is caused by climate change, it seems that people don’t regarard this change seriously righ now. We still can eat apple from other areas. I mean even if this change is not threatening now, but it will be. So we have to pay more attention about this problem.

It’s a bit simple reason but the climate change is an important issue for me because I love spring and fall. Like what the article shows us, my family and friends are also concerned with the bad effects the climate change will give us in the future. But most of them are not that seriously worrying. 1. What could account for the decrease in concern about climate change among south koreans?
i think some reasons about that. First, In korea, there are many problems which more appeal tp people than climate problems. People already knows climate problems through some articles.but it affect to change something a moment maybe or not. they are interested in their real life. Climate is also important in our life. but they are not feel actual feeling.
Cause is that south korean have had not experience disasters, caused by climate. It is avoided luckly. they see the disaster and hurt in another country through medias. it is not same with experience.

Climate change is improtant issue to me. it is simple reason that i hate too much hot and cold! it affects my life. it makes delete my favorite season; spring and fall.
More deeply, When i saw one medias before some years ago, i was really shocked. Glicier melt fast, and polar bears died. in addition, in program, it shows scene which predict future. it is teribble. if we do not anything, Earth is gone few years later.

What could account for the decrease in concern about climate change among south koreans?

South Korea people do not concern about climate change problem because this problem has not been appeared cleary in Korea. So they have not recognized how this problem is serious, I have been too. And South Korea people have no time to concern this problem. Because they focus on their busy life. So even though they already know that climate change is much worse than the past, this true is not effect on their thinking. They overlooked and not noticed the danger of climate change.

Is climate change an important issue to you? Why or why not?

Until a few years ago, I never concerned about climate change. However, recently I often feel that the climate is changing seriously. Especially this time which is scholastic ability test season, every year has been very cold. But this year, it was not cold but just warm. That is, Korea is not safe place anymore in climate change problems. And by increasing the temperature, 4 seasons became faint. So spring and fall are decreased more and more, summer is increased now. That is fatal thing to me since I hate hot weather.

I think the environment issue of whole world is now an important problem. Because of hot weather, the global warming is great problem. Even ozon gases are impact our earth’s health. These days in Korea, sands and dusts of China are impact to our sky. Those cause serious respiratory problem to kids and seniors. I think the rising of using cars and oil makes earth illness. We have to develope some technology to healing earth.

I think most Koreans less concerned about global warming because they don’t regard global warming as direct relation to them. They face many problems related to their living and struggle for a living every day. They have no time to global and international matters such as climate change. Besides, they are indifferent to social, political and other various problems of the own country. For these reasons, the rate of Koreans who are concerned about climate change decreases continually.

Climate change is not an important issue to me because there has been a severe environmental problem recently in South Korea. The problem is the air pollution like fine dust and smog. Fine dust from China and Mongolia has been a big problem in the nation. It is directly linked to our health. Nevertheless, most people don’t recognize seriousness of the issue. In addition, Tragically, this government has yet to do anything to rectify this. I am really worried about fine dust from China and Mongolia because of its toxicity. We need to take measures to preserve clean airs unless we will impossible to continue to live outside in our country in future.

Is climate change an important issue to you? Why or Why not?

Many people all over the world is worrying about climate changes. The reason is that climate change is showing some problems in current days but it can have more in the future.
There are some phenomenons that describe climate change. Temperature rise is the first one phenomenon. Caused from greenhouse effect, a temperature of the earth’s surface has been risen about 0.8 degrees for the last 100 years. This rising is as high as there wasn’t this rate of rising for last 1,000 years. Furthermore, last 20 years is the hottest time in 20th century. Second phenomenon is a rising of sea level. Glaciers all over the world is reducing, and rate of weather accident is increasing. El Nino which leads severe drought and flood has been bigger in terms of size, frequency, and continuity. In addition to environmental problems, it also makes social problems with health of human beings. Increasing climate stimulates atmospheres photochemically so ozone concentration is enhanced. It worsens air pollution and finally affects on human body.
I think climate changed is influenced both naturally and artificially but our generation has a responsibility to keep our earth. So if we can’t make better with natural factors, we have to decide to prevent further climate change by limiting artificial elements like deforestation, CH4, and CO2.

I agree to the point that climate can cause social problems. If we do not take a immediate action, we will suffer more from the climate change, and then expenses we should pay will rise exponentially. In terms of opportunity cost, we have made a loss.

the earth destruction resulted from climate change became a common material of movie . in disaster film, the people who are no different from us is always living with larege and small problem in life- stress within a office , familiy or international finance , security between border etc.- but suddenly the ozone layer was destroyed and intactly was exposed light of ozone, and happening thunami in sea, seperating ground here and there, also crops can’t be produced anymore, it is definitely demolition of living. as the filme showed to us, the climate change is the fundemental problem of humankind which is able to bring about last result.
likewise in korea . thesedayes, the crop production is not reaped well than the past for example the output of grain was so reduced that the price is soared and we have to import at other country. Also, more and more , the agricuture population is being hard to live , so they change their job into service and commerce. it can be social problem, unenven occupation rate . as another example, most lately. sink hole was happenedin the middle of road in seoul-phenomenon that ground is sunken as round shape , because of no water in the earth- some stopping car’s wheel is fell and trffic jams occured. morever, some news video clip that a passengers walking on the street is dissapeared into the ground gave scary fear many people in the world. the disaster in the screen become a real , not fiction anymore. thus , through these forewarnting from small event to destroying accident we must notice climate change is the most important, underlying problem to us.

Oh, after I read your writing, I came up with a idea that enormous films, describing disasters caused by climate change, make people unconcerned. It is because the kinds of films usually have a happy ending, so people unconsciously think that the problems can be solved easily.

I think all people should be concerned about the issue of climate change. Damages of climate change regarded as future events are occurring now in korea. Above all, Korea is becoming increasingly subtropical. By this occurrence, as a staple crops plantation is increasingly moving north, farmers are confronted by problems that they continuously change their crops of cultivation. Another damage of climate change is a drought. Because of global warming, precipitation is decreased and farmers accordingly suffer from a bad year. The problem is that a lean year eventually aggravates an economic condition such as an inflation of prices. Besides, there are problems about frequent flood and an extension of the summer period. Although people living in cities cannot feel the seriousness because they are hard to experience directly the damages of climate change – drought and changes of cultivation crops – , the problems are quite serious in farming and fishing communities. Of course, climate can be changed by natural factors, but I think human beings are more responsible for climate change. Men’s greenhouse-gas emissions, increase in trash, and indiscriminate logging are consistently influencing on destroying the ecosystem. The enormous damages of climate change are conveyed to us now and for ever, so we have to realize the seriousness of this problem in order to prevent the damages. In conclusion, all people including koreans should be concerned about the issue of climate change(ex. global warming) and seek a solution we can practise.

Climate change is a problem which has been issued consistently. Since climate change is getting worse gradually, and we don’t have any immediate solution, this problem is on the rise annually. Although climate change problem is soaring across the world, people become insensitive. One of the climate changes is global warming. We can find effects of global warming in everyday life. For example, length of spring and fall get shorter and shorter, due to global warming. To solve this climate change, we need to continuous efforts. On the other hand, people, especially Korean, less concerned about climate change as time goes by. People accustomed this abnormal weather conditions. Thus, I think government and media should ask people to attention these phenomenon continually.

We are so changeable. I think Korean people easily get bored by something. We are love to follow the latest trend or pay attention to some serious issue, but Korean people suddenly find it boring and get sick of talking and thinking about them. When I was young, mass media encouraged people to commute by bicycle to keep our environment. Actually, many workers used bicycle or public transportation. Korean concerned about climate change. It was a ‘trend’. People used a soap made of used cooking oil instead of shampoo, tried to conserve water and electricity, and recycled waste paper. Protecting the environment was a vogue that was regarded as clever, attractive, and sexy. As time passed, people got bored by this obsolete trend : Conserving environment. People found that these are uncomfortable, waste of time, and boring. These are no more attracting interest of Korean. Now, commuting by super car and using fancy cosmetics is to be new trend. Bicycles, if it is not that high-quality, are not fashionable item.
Perhaps, as people love sneakers of 1970s’ style these days, one day, we will miss and follow again the trend that was popular five years ago.

I’m sorry to post this late..My answer is, YES. Although some researches are showing us that climate change is not man-made, it doesn’t mean that we don’t have to prevent climate change. In recent years, effect of climate change has been clearly observed. That is to say, climate change became more serious problem. Many articles seriously arguing about El nino. One of example is our country, Korea. Korea’s November is quite cold period. However, nowadays, there no more chilly days. Definitely, winter became shorter and shorter. In my opinion, people don’t have to make grandiose plans like making a giant mirror to reflect the solar heat. Instead, those plans can bring unexpected negative effects. Therefore, world people should effort in simple ways to save the earth. For example, lower the carbon dioxide emission and reduce trash–which will be incinerated so cause destroy of Ozone layer–are one of the best method of that.

Climate change is one of the most important global issues. If we fail to stop raising temperature of earth, we will confront some serious problems. The most disastrous effect is that ecosystem might collapse, definitely having a bad effect to humans. All species in earth are closely connected with each other, and if some species become extinct because of climate change, it will bring about disaster. For example, when some sea creatures become extinct becuase of inappropriate temperature, it will influence to other creatures that feed on them. Of course, even if humans are on the top of the food chain, we might suffer greatly. Global warming can’t be solved by only one country or some countries. All countries, especially developed countries which emit huge amount of co2 should participate actively to prevent climate change. Also, individual should be alert to prevent global warming and practice a little thing everyday to reduce co2 which is regarded as a main cause of climate change. We can cope with this environmental issue by considering it carefully both globally and individually.

Some experts say it can’t decide the cause of climate change, but I think one of the leading causes of climate change is human. Such as using fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation.
Once, Korea used to have 4 distinct seasons. However today because of global warming, the period of spring and fall become shorter. We may not have 4 seasons in Korea anymore, spring and fall may disappear.
Besides, these day abnormal weather phenomena continue. Every years, a cold wave used to hit Korea on College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT 수능) day. But this year, November 12th was CSAT day, but it wasn’t so cold that day. ]The weather is constantly changing, so abruptly.
Likewise, the effects of climate change which we feel(experience) in our daily lives is more serious. So we have to be more concerned about climate change. Also we have to put more effort to solve this man-made problem.

I feel that korean government has not set environment as a priority ,but they set development as a most important factor. But if we do not invest in environment , I’m sure we will pay more than now to restore enviormental orginality and climate. Unfortunately, as you can see in the mass media, Korea has been suffered worsening drought. According to meteorologist, the drought comes after summers filled with extreme cycles involving devasting droughts and deadely floods during Korea’s increasingly hot summers. A combination of climate change and mixtures of high and low levels of air pressure are the likely the causes. Of course, experts were puzzled as to the clear reasons for the extreme shifts in Korea’s recent summers, I think that this phenomenon results from the global warming, which also causes a sudden climate change. So we must concern about this serious issue and change. It is not only a global problem and issue but also regional problem. As I mentioned before, Koreas had been suffered from numerous climate change. And, it causes some serious results such as a drought. Nowdays, we have been always faced with these kinds of problems. It is not a normal problem but a very pracitcal problem. Many students wrote essays or made posters and often discussed about seriousness of global warming. However nowadays many people do not think about global warming seriously. I believe it is because there are so many other problems in our society, So people consider an imminent matters that they can feel directly. That’s why people less concerned about climate change. People who live an island such as Tuvalu which is sinking now are feel seriousness of climate change directly but, people who live in Korea can not feel it directly so they are going to be dull about climate change problem. Climate change is people’s life. According to the climate, I have to decide what to eat, what to wear and even feelings change. Thus, it’s certain that climate change is a big problem for me. These days, Earth is suffering from climate change, especially global warming. I’m sure the man is the cause along with natural phenomena. Media always emphasize what can people practice to reduce the amount of CO2, a main culprit of climate change. We’ll be recommended to use transportation, restrain the use of air conditioner and all of the acts that reduce the amount of CO2 emission, as we have recommended every year. However, I remember an article mentioned that CO2 from an individual take extremely small amount of the whole amount of the emission. The most powerful culprits are factories which are covered with media so that we couldn’t notice. Noxious gas from the factories accelerates the pace of climate change. So I think the pace of climate can be slowed as government should apply strict standards of regulation to the factories. Natural factors of climate change are inevitable. Therefore, I think people should loosen the speed of climate change, blocking the most detrimental acts.

Nowadays, we are faced with Global warming which is one of the most serious environmental problem in the 21st century. Many people don’t acknowledge that how dangerous problem is. But I have serious concerns for negative effects of global warming. So, for me, it is quiet important problem that we should try to solve it.
There are some causes that generate global warming. As you know, greenhouse gas exhaustion are caused by fossil fuel such as coal, oil and gas. This is the most typical reason why global warming become more critical. Also, amount of garbage are on the increase, it raises methane gas which also emit the greenhouse gas. Those causes make the phenomenon of global warming, such as natural disaster, destruction of ecosystem, also melting glaciers.
It is not descendant’s problem. I think this is our generation’s problem. Many people are at easy to treat this problem, because they think all problems are occur far into the future. However, we are faced with a lot of disasters which are caused by global warming. So, I think it is important issue for me.

Q : Is climate change an important issue to you? Why or why not?
Yes, it is true the climate change is a serious global problem. However, if someone ask that it is an important matter for myself, I would rather say “not really” This answer might sounds somewhat provocative, but it is my honest response and here are some reasons for it.
First, there are already too many concerns for individuals today. Those anxieties are in front of my very eyes, while the global climate problem seems distant. As people and media says, we youth are living hard time now. The problems of employment and economy are adjacent and I’m worried about them, though I’m not making any actual solution. Of course, the weight of these burdens will be different to each individuals. However it is obvious that the private concerns look much closer and bigger than the global warming issue.
Second, I personally want to emphasize this more, social problems are more urgent than global warming. Yes, we should concern about the earth climate as humans who live on this planet, but what about the social problems are happening right now? Near in Korea, there are so many political conflicts, human rights abuse, discrimination and deception of the greedy people. Globally, many kids and women are dying at battlefields, terrorism prevails(Like the today’s terrible Paris assault), severe rights infringement in some countries and countless other humanity problems are happening at this very moment,
For these reasons, if I have to choose what is important issue for me, I would prioritize the closer problems, rather than climate change.

We have learned about seriousness of climate change and ways that we have to do to make the earth remain healthy. But, For me, the climate change is like a story not directly related to me or far away, because I can’t feel a little change of temperature and until now, I can notice precisely that, in Korea, there are four seasons. We are always heard and the comments above say that spring and fall are shorter these days than the old days. However, scientist says it is the wrong idea, actually the number of days of each season nearly doesn’t change and even global climate computer models are not accurate enough to predict future climate changes.

Not only this, but we have been damaged from those kinds of changes or problems without realizing. A rapid change in temperature, abnormal climates, sea level rise and changes in precipitation pattern, those kinds of changes caused by global warming are making life difficult for living things throughout the globe. As I mentioned before, it is not an unreality, but a very realistic and important problem. Although many people in Korea underwent a direct affected by this disaster, there are also a lot of people who think this is not a matter for us.
