In my opinion, people should use various online tools to learn about something. This is because today’s advanced technology has made it very convenient to access information without much effort. people can find valuable and useful information very easily by using the Internet. This means that if you go on the Internet, you can get any desired information regardless of time and place. For example, last year, when I looked for some information about the history of British cinema through Google, it took only a few minutes to find out all the details of what I wanted to know. Therefore, I conclude that learning through online helps us go on to the next without much effort.

In my own opinion, I think there are lots of advantages of learning lecture online. First of all, when we learn something by online, we could get more information via online. Because we are now living in a world which has full of information, moreover we have advanced technology now. So Internet has lots of extra sources, and by that we could get more information about our class. Secondly, when we use online lecture, we could use our time more deliberately. Unlike face to face system, there is no specific time table for the class in online system, what we need to do is just log-in and listen to that class. It eventually means that we could use our time more flexibly. Lastly, when we learn something by online, we could get more feedback from various people. This writing homework would be good example for this. We could get lots of suggestions by other people in our class. Of course, we could get feedback in our class, but important thing is that unlike online class, in actual class the number of students are limited. So to sum up, I think learning something by online has lots of advantages and it could made us more educated person.

There are two main disadvantages of learning something online.
First, learning online can be efficient to motivated students. However, students who cannot manage themselves will struggle during the class. Face to face learning somewhat help students to set their plans. Since student are usually immature and unskilled, they need supervisor to take care of them. Indirect supervising through the screen and messenger has a limit. Instructor should interact with student in personal.
Second, being in a class with peers is important for students to develop social ability. Students do not only learn from the class they also learn from their classmates. They can’t get those lessons anywhere but in the class and it is obviously necessary for living.
Even though learning online is popular these days, it is not a best way of learning so far.

There are several disadvantages of learning something online. First of all, it is easy for students to get loose and lose track of their lessons. This is because students taking online courses have to be highly self-disciplined. They have to follow up their own schedules when there is no need for them to take lecture on one particular day. Also, since there is no one watching, students may not focus us lectures as they do offline. Secondly, the delivery of knowledge will be one-sided, which hugely depends on teachers or professors. This can lead to lack of interaction, which may result in the cramming education. There will be no talkative discussion between students, only a cross-time or -place discussions through postings. Last but not least, it is hard to assess students’ participation rates or behaviors. Whether a student focuses on a monitor during the lecture or not, his or her grade depends on a mid term and final exam. Unlike offline lectures, there is no direct communication between a professor and students. Therefore, students contribute little to a progress of a lecture, and therefore, it is impossible to assess students’ participation. As mentioned above, there are three disadvantages such as being easy to get loose, one-sided delivery of knowledge, and hard to assess students’ participation, of studying online.

There are three disadvantages of learning something online(watching video). Firstly, students don’t watch video because it is self-regulating. When applying the class, student have confidence that they will watch all lectures. However this mind never keeps long. In my experience, I applied several online lecture but I finished only two lecture. Secondly, even if students let the video play, they don’t concentrate on the lecture. They do other things like surfing internet or eat something. The video just be played. Teacher in the video talk to the air. Finally, there is no one to call the student aside. If it were face-to-face lecture, teacher would scold the dozing student.

I think learning online has some advantages. First, learning online is less time consuming. People who attend online classes don’t need to go their classes directly. They are able to have own classes in wherever they want. And the second advantage is that online learning is repeatable. If students forget or miss something, they can repeat the part that they have missed. Finally, learning online is less cost. Comparing with normal classes(face-to-face classes), online class can accept more students. So, the cost can be cut.

In my opinion, face-to-face learning is one of the most effective way. It develops a strong student-teacher relationship and students can interact with each other in person.
However, we are living in global society and it means we can share tons of information through online with people not only in different area in our country but also people in the world. Learning online doesn’t have much limitation. Regardless of location, time, and age, we can get any kind of information online whenever we want. It requires high level of motivation for learning online but it is much more flexible than face-to-face learning and has more advantages. It might be less interactive than meeting people in person but we can make various kind of friends through online.

There are some advantages of learning on online.
Nowadays, manay people have to get certificate even they have vocations, because they are forced to get new certificate such as Toeic speaking, certified labor attorney and so on by their own company. The problem is that they don’t have enough time to carry both work and study. However, distance learning can enable people to do both of them, because there are less limitations in online learning. For example, people can take any lessons which means that they can have diverse options to choose lectures. And there is no space restrains. People can take lectures in anywhere as long as they have laptops of tablets which can access to the internet.
On top of that, teachers of professors don’t have to make a same lesson. These days, there are lots of lectures which have same context, because professors or teachers have duties to teach for new students, even though the contents of a class is similar to previous course. But on online learning, we can record lecutures on online, and then people can take that online course repeatedly. As a result, professor or teachers can save their time and they can do invest more time for their teaching quality.

Today, many people are learning something online, however, there are some disadvantages. Above all, online studying doesn’t have any fixed schedule for students. It can make that students feel it is okay not to study right now, and then they can be loose and lazy. Even though some students take lectures right on time, they can lose their concentration easily; because there is not any supervisor or classmate who can motivate them to study hard. In addition, students cannot have an interaction with anyone. It means if some students have questions or something ambiguous, they cannot ask someone directly. Thus, even if there are many advantages of online learning, we should not just study something by online, but by offline in balance.

I have tried to learn lectures online in Kyung-hee university.
Moreover, I have studied scholastic ability test through the online.
The advantages are that we can choose teachers, lectures, and time.
We can also not only pace ourselves, but also replay lectures.
The disadvantages are that we couldn’t communicate well with lecturers
and couldn’t concentrate with lectures because of using computer.

In my experiences, I couldn’t learn online lectures completely.
I’m one step behind actual lectures, if anything.
    The online gives us complacency.
However, I could encouter with renowned lecturers so I catch up with
    my competitors.

In my opinion, there are few advantages of learning something online. First of all, learning lectures online is not influenced by time and places. It does not matter where students are and what time students study. So, it makes much easier for people who have a job or are busy to study. Also, it is possible to repeat a lecture over and over whenever students want or need to review or study lectures again. Lastly, it encourages students to study harder by themselves. Because there is on one to control and lead students, they have to do everything by themselves. So, it helps and inspires students to make an effort.

I think that there are many advantages in online classes. First, it can hold more people than lectures or seminars, and more students can have chance to learn from one teacher. Second, there is no distance obstacle in learning. In my case, I have to commute about 2 hours in order to come to school. It is such a time consuming and tiring to commute and listen lectures. Online classes will solve this problem, and I can save my both time and energy. Third, lecturiong online has advantage to the lecturer too. They can edit their classes if they want, or use different other sources in their classes. To sum up, these were the advantages of online classes I can think of.

I think learning something online is economical and efficient in terms of time and money. Online classes are relatively inexpensive to offline classes. Time also can be saved. People take online classes at home and don’t need to go somewhere taking time. Of course, some kinds of studies are unsuitable for online learning such as painting, singing and physical training. Because providing instructor’s immediate feedback is important for those classes. Nonetheless online classes are the opportunity for the people who are located outside of a center of education. Learning online is helpful for democratization of education and reducing of educational inequality.

    1. What are the advantages of learning something online?

Today, development Internet technology enables students to take class on online. I think there are some advantages of taking online courses.
First, Online class didn`t require much spaces. As we study online, it doesn`t need specific places for desks, chairs and computers. Just laptops or smartphones and book are needed. Online class gives student freedom of taking the class anywhere not in restricted area.
Second, Online courses are cheaper than face-to-face courses. As I mentioned above, online class does not need spaces for class and other equipment. So rent fee and money for buying school things could be excluded when setting a tuition fee. Because of low tuition fee, online classes relieve burden of student who is on the tight budget.
Lastly, studying online can be time effective. Students who commute university from home spend lots of time on the road. Online class helps them to save precious time. Students can do other things in his saved time. So, online class is very useful for student who lives distant.

    2. What are the disadvantages of learning something online?

I think that there are two main disadvantages of learning something online.
Firstly, students who participate in online lectures couldn’t fully concentrate on their online classes. Because so many interesting things are in the internet, such as funny webtoons and articles which can make students to deviate from their original purposes. Second, they couldn’t receive feedbacks immediately. Unlike face-to-face learning, online classes are hard for students to get helpful advice for their academic performance. Until their teachers or instructors check the feedback mails and send replies to students, all they can do is just wait. Thus, these are the reasons why I think studying online is unuseful.

In my opinion, there are two advantages of learning something online. One is that we can save a lot of time, money, and strength. Because to go the place where we should take classes so called offline, we need time, money, and physical power. But, if we take online learning, we don’t have to need these things. And then, using the time which it takes from house to academy, we can study more and more than any other studnets. The other is that we can keep learning online lesson whenever we want. Because the lesson is already recorded. So it is possible to go over it when we don’t understand contents of lesson. Also, if we need to take a rest while studying, it is okay to stop lesson for a while and later start it again. It is very useful to study.

In my opinion, there are some good reasons by learning something online. First of all, it is possible for us to take a course whenever we want, since there are no constraints in time, place. We can take a class where it opens far away needless to go in person. Furthermore, we can choose what I want to learn deeply by our taste. It is easy to take lectures by comparing many reviews on blog individually. Also, people have different ability to learn and follow something. For this reason, this makes us to take lectures which are interesting and proper to catch up.

I think learning something online has three main disadvantages.
First, it is difficult to concentrate on class when students learn something online. So, if you want to learn something in short time, it is better to learn in a real class. Online class is not efficient.
Second, students who learn something online do not have opportunity to learn from other students. In real class, for example, students ask problems to teacher in class. The other students learn from these questions. These makes students understand deeply on topic.
Last, teachers who teach online do not have any relationships with their students. So, they do not know what students do not know. So they could not teach efficiently.

I partly agree with your opinion. As you menotioned, it might be difficult to concentrate on distance learning, but I think it depends on person. For example, if students have high motivation for study, the method of learning is not a important for them. To be speccific, no matter how they take any learning method, they will concentrat on any class.
Secondly, even we use distnacce learning, we can ask something on online. In addition, like this we can have a small conversation or discussion on online board. Through these process, we can share our thinking and opinion.

  19. September 28, 2016 7:43 pm

I think there are many advantages of distant learning. First of all, distant learning makes students can study anywhere they want. Due to development of internet technology and equipment, accessing internet is easy wherever you go. For example, various equipments, such as smart phone and laptop computer, help student’s convenient learning. Secondly, learning distant makes students can manage their time effectively. Distant learning, unlike face-to-face learning, can be accessed at any time through internet. It is useful because students can make their own learning plan. It makes students can get their own learning balance in between others. In these reasons, distant learning is very helpful to students.

    1. What are the advantages of learning something online?
In my opinion, There are some advantages if learning online.
first of all, Learning online may be effective way to save time and money.
Becuase In oreder to take calss in the past, students and teacher should go to school.
It takes a lot of time and some money. Futhermore, It has a cost for class room and payment for teacher to take care of students.
In the contrast, Online class may save cost and time.
Teacher and student don’t need to come actual classroom other than infront of computer.
and Also one teacher can be a teacher for unlimited number of students.
So It can be huge advantage of learning online.
