I think they should not allowed to choose subjects that students study if the students are under 18. Because they are in high school or middle school, they need to learn many different subsects. If they are interested in something, they can go to colledge and take it. And these days, science and engineering departments are becoming popular in Korea because of the employment problem. So if it is allowed, most students want to take the science course. It is not desirable to be partial on particular subjects. Because they are young so they need to learn various point of view of our world.

In my opinion, I think students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they study at school. I have two reasons to support this opinion. First of all, Students can get more interest about their subjects which was chosen by themselves than studying the subjects that was selected by force. If they could study what they want, they could study harder and get great scores because they have an aptitude for their studying Secondly, Those students who select their study could find their career opportunity more faster than others. As they could select the subjects, they would find a lot of motivation of what they want to be in the future by studying. Well, actually, students have to their subjects carefully about choosing their subjects. So, I think the way students must have to talk with their parents about their chosen subjects must be done vitally. According to these two reasons, I think students and their parents could be choose what they want to study in school.

I think they should not allowed to choose subjects. I don’t think the role of school is just to teach school subjects. And whatever subject we learn, I think it is more important to know what courses have taken place in the class. I think it is one of the important things to express one’s thoughts through discussion rather than just writing down the teacher’s words during class. By learning many different subjects, you will also be able to find out what you like and want. And through it, you will be able to broaden your field and think about various things. For these reasons, I don’t want to allow it.

For children in their very earlier years is important to have all kind of subjects, so they can try and, as they grow, can see what their preferences are and also can find in which area they’re good and discover new aptitudes. I think starting from high school is better to have the liberty of choosing the subjects in which you are already interested so you can force yourself into just one road, keep it simple and follow the steps with which you have been taught in the environment that you are involved from the beginning, focus 100% in what you like and build a great future for you. As for me, I would liked to have the option of choosing the subjects I wanted at the age of 14, 15 because I think I spend a lot of time and years in something I really didn’t like. 😦

I think we have to designate several subjects as essential that providing us basic background knowledge such as language, history, and mathematics, but the rest subjects need to give students and their parents a choice. There are two reasons why we have to allow them to choice their own subjects. Firstly, except a compulsory course, it is inefficient to provide a standardized curriculum for not only students but teachers. If they are permitted to choose their own subjects, students feel a sense of responsibility thus will show their motivation and passion towards the subjects because they select the subjects on their own. The next thing is that now we live in a period that each individuality is respected. Therefore when we choose subjects and take a class depending on each aptitude, it will accomplish self-improvement and various career opportunities in the future. In conclusion, I think students and parents have the right of choice their subjects except a essential course.

During my 12 years of formal education in Korea, I felt that adults would try to teach students too many subjects. Among the vast areas of knowledge I learned during that time, very few have really helped me. Each student has his own interests and abilities. It is necessary not to have such inefficient, uniform education, but to have education to nurture individual characteristics. If students and their parents are given a choice of what subject they will learn, they will be able to choose the subjects they need and enjoy their intensive classes. It will eventually help students and bring about social efficiencies. Therefore, students and their parents should be given the option of taking the education course.

I don’t agree that individual self chooses subjects what he or she wants. Teenagers have to gain knowledge equally. If students study subjects only what they want, they will have biased views. Though every person has a different job, knowledge and interests in various fields will be essential when they meet new people. As it is impossible to be entirely cut off from the outside world, we try to be considerate and understand each other. And that mind come from knowledge of various subjects so we have to learn many other things.

I think school should not allow students to choose what they want to learn for several reasons. The most obvious reason why students should not be allowed to choose their classes is various experiences. Students are still young and immature, so it is important for them to take diverse courses and consider what subjects they are interested in. Sometimes, they can find some interesting courses that they would never have expected to have an aptitude for. Along with the various experiences, ensuring opportunities for students who want non-standard classes is one of the most significant reasons for preventing students from choosing their classes. Many students tend to prefer popular or easy courses like physical education and music without considering their interests and attend classes with their friends. As a result, unpopular classes will be canceled due to the lack of minimum enrollment requirement and this means that a few students cannot attend the classes which they would like to learn. For these two reasons, I believe students and their parents should not be allowed to decide their educational courses.

School’s purpose to teach student is to make these young people to grow up as constructive member of society. In order to achieve this purpose, school has a responsibility to teach various stuff to make students have balance skill. However, If students and parents can choose which subjects they study at school this balance can be destroyed. Because, students are not mature yet to have agency to choose all things about their life. Then again, I think students also need to right to choose their classes. Wirh in mind, there is a solution that satisfy this problem. School have to nominate the times of classes that student have to take. For instance, English need to be taken 4 times a week and Math need to taken 5 times per week. With these curriculum students can choose when they gonna take that classes.
These solution can give more flexible schedule to students.

Students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they study at school. Nowadays, the curriculum of korean school suppress student’s freedom. It is time to help students find their aptitude. If the curriculum in korea changes the way kids want to choose subject, students can choose subject that they have an interest in. When students study subjects that they want, finally students can get motivation for self-improvement. This self-improvement helps students get interesting career. This means students can live the life they want. So in these reasons, students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they want to study.

In my opinion, I think students and their parents should be allowed to choose subjects they study at school and there are 2 reasons why I think like that. First of all, students can study harder when they study subjects which they have an aptitude for. They can concentrate more easily if they study what they are passionate in. Also, students can head for dream faster when they choose subjects that they want to learn. They can motivate themselves when they study and can self-improve their careers and opportunities. Allowing to choose subjects they study at school will be more helpful to students who have dreams.

I think students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they study at school. Now I will describe reasons to support my opinion.
Every students have dreams. Maybe Their dreams are really various and personal. Therefore They have to study appropriatly for coming true their dreams. If All students study alike without individuality, They will not come true their dreams and will be able to waste their time. But If they are allowed to choose which subjects they study at school, They will be able to study something that they need and to approach their dreams more closely. Also They will be able to have sense of independence to create their future. For example, My cousin studied without individuality from elementry school to middle school. But He studied only English and learned to bake a cake and make coffee When He was high school students. Finally As soon as he is 19 years old, He emigrated to Singapore to come true his dream, hotelier. I think Because he chose which subjects he study at school and learned something that he need, He could come ture his dream, hotelier. Because of my cousin’s experience, I think more powerfully students and their parents should be allowed to choose wich subjects they study at school. This might be how to come true studets’ dreams.

I think that there should be some subjects chosen by school and some chosen by students. Because if students choose subjects that they like and want to learn. This can make students attend the class with passion and find their own suitable career. But if only students choose their subjects they study, a problem is that students don’t choose subjects boring but essential in life. So school should decide some essential subjects for students. All students learn basic subjects together and choose some subjects for their self-improvement, and then they can study efficiently. That’s why students’ schedules have to be made by themselves and school together.

In my opinion, for children under the age of high school should follow compulsory education course. And when they become a high school students, they can choose their major subjects and there still should be compulsory subjects such as social studies and history because these are the subjects we must learn in order to live our life. Since children find their perfect aptitude and their dream as they grow older, they should experience and learn about many things(subjects) and have broad point of view. If they have opportunity to choose subjects whatever they want at young age, they would not know what subjects they are interested in or good at. So I think following compulsory course is best for them. In high school, most students probably would know what subjects they have aptitude for so they should get a chance to choose their major. As they do this, they will have passion in what their learning and it will be helpful for their self-improvement.

I think students and their parents should not be allowed to choose what they study at school until middlle school for two reasons. First of all, I think the most important purpose of school is to give students various experience whether it is boring or not. Some people who disagree with this might say that studying unwanted subjects is meaningless and waste of time. But I think most of the children in this age group have not yet deicied their concrete future plans, so this experience is worth it to them and in this process they might able to find their aptitude in unexpected areas. Next, Many people today have jobs in various fields that are not related to their major. so this various kind of exprience may be a little help for our daily lifes. For these reasons, I think students should not be allowed to choose what they study.

I think students and their parents should be allowed to choose subjects which they are going to study at school. Some students want to go to college after they graduate from high school because they have freedom to choose subjects in there. If students pick subjects, It means that they have interest in the subjects. So, they will concentrate in class more easily than just they take fixed classes against their will. Nonetheless, because of practical problems, there also should be some required subject. If the students are completely free to choose their subjects, they will only take appealing or simple classes. It would not help students boost their academic ability. So I want to support that opinion to give students partial-free to choose which subjects they will study at school.

I think student should be allowed to choose subject which they want to study
If student study subject they have an interest in, they attain better performance
Of course student develop themselves when they follow the curriculum school sets.
    But curriculum may limit improvement.
Meanwhile aptitude is as important as interest
So when we choose subject , we consider aptitude and interest .
    I think it is best.

First of all, I think we should think middle school and high school each other. In the middle school, i think, students can not choose the subject, so government or the school should pick the compulsory subject that students must study because middle school’s students are so young that they can not judge logically. On the other hand, In the high shchool, i think , students can choose the subject they want to learn because that age can judge what they need for their future and fulfiil with high quality of learning!

In my opinion, I think students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they study at school only at a certain age. Because when students choose their subjects at first, they choose them by only the specific image of the subject. Students have to study various subjects without such prejudice and must experience the subject directly. Also I think all students need the basic knowledge structure that society needs. Because as all studies are closely connected, students shouldn’t study only the particular subjects they want.
After all these basic studying, I think students must choose their subjects in their own decision. I have two reasons why I think like this. First of all, students can find their own dreams that are worth it all when they study what they love. I heard that people need 10 years to be a expert in specific field. I think a genuine enthusiasm is required to sustain this 10 years and to find this enthusiasm firstly students need their own right of subject choice. Secondly, I think people need self identity to live a meaningful life. Choosing subjects that they study in school means they have the initiative in their life. In fact, when students can choose their subjects their life can be worthwhile.
Therefore, I think students and their parents need their own right of subject choice.

When it comes to secondary education, I believe that students and their parents should be allowed to choose which subjects they study at school because of these reasons. Primarily, when we let students take control of what they learn, we could improve student’s attitude which could lead to the formation of the interactive learning environment. Students will behave well because they have almost full control of what to learn. Next, this could help students to discover their interest earlier so that they could prepare for their future career. Moreover, if we allow students and parents to select which subjects they study at school, we could improve both ‘diversity’ of the human society and student’s creativity. But still, there should be few restrictions on implementing this active learning system. First of all, we have to learn core subjects like math to live wisely and think critically and to meet the public education standard. Next, this system should be done to secondary education because primary education consists of essential subjects to form the basis of learning and primary school students are not mature enough to choose the right track. If these two limits exist, I agree with the idea to give control to students to make them an active learner.

Students have to choose subjects that they want, becacse the choosing subjects has many advantages. First, by choosing subiects, students can learn the knowledges related tp their dream. In order to achieve a dream, it is effective to focus on related subjects rather than unrelated subjects. Second, students can get out of entrance examination and competition. Student can study for themselves rather than study for competition. Finally, srudents can have responsibility for their choices and be motivated to learn and then they can grow as self-directed learners. Therefore, the goverment should introduce a system of education which can be taken courses that enable student to develop their ability.

In my opinion students and their parents, be allowed to choose the subjects they study at school. I have two reasons about that. First students can be stressful when they study subject which is not useful to student. For example, the student who major art doesn’t need the science. Second students must be learning what they want. Students have different dreams but when the school teach same thing they will uniformity. So school have to teach the student what they want, and what they are interest.

Students and their parents should NOT be allowed to choose all subjects they study at school. School should appoint mandatory subjects and let students and their parents choose the other subjects. If we make it possible to choose all of the subjects, he students’ educational field is one-sided. Then, they cannot be a fusion talent. And various people may have a trouble coexisting with one another as thoughts become more one-sided and ignorant in other fields. So basically, I think schools should teach basic Korean, math, English, history, and science. And they make the students who find their own interest choose the intensive subject. In this way, I think it is an effective way to educate students by providing them with basic knowledge, finding them interested, and choosing to pursue intensive learning considering their interest.

In my opinion, I think students should not be allowed to choose which subject they study at school until they become a college student. It is obvious that independent and active studying helps students to mature and grow. However, if we empower to choose the subject that student study to them, they may not study subject like Korean, history and science that are needed to live in our society. Role of school education is teaching fundamental knowledge for students’ better life. Therefore, school should choose obligatory subject that students study, but do no force them to study more subjects as now. Except obligatory subjects, I think school should make students to choose subjects they are in interested that can help students to broad their interests and attention and look for dream.
