There are some disadvantages of learning something online.

First, if you are not a highly-motivated paerson, you would postpone listening the class until the due date. It would make harder to learn something online if you keep postpone to listen the class becasue you have to listen many classes on the last day of deadline. But if you study with your teachers and friends in school, or in any offline classes, you should listen to the class with them at the moment.

Second, there are a lot of distractions. You can’t focus on your work, if there are a lot of disctractions such as television, internet, phone, bed, and etc in your room. But if you are in the class, it is better environment to focus on learning than your room or taking online classes.

Lastly, if you learn something online, you could not communicate with teacher or peers face to face. Social skill is essential in life, but if you could not develope the skill, you will find difficulities when you go out to the world. It will be difficult to get along with people and adjust new environment with new people. Also if you can’t communicate with teacher right away, then solving problems, getting answers, and other aspects of learning will confuse and you will be lazy to learn. However, you would be able to learn and developte your social skill with them.

I think learning something online has both advantages and disadvantages.

In positive view, students can learn flexibly. Studying online doesn’t have limited geography, which enables students to study anywhere and anytime with their own timetable. These days, people want to learn without any disturbance of other people. If learners have to attend a lecture in a class, they would mind relationships with others because the class is consist of teamwork and discussion. However, in the online, learners can improve their knowledge by themselves. Also, students take a course considering their level. Sometimes it is difficult to follow the class because each person has each level. By learning with online, low-level students can study slowly using ‘stop button’ and high-level students can do fast. Thus, learning something online is useful in that students take a lecture freely by following their own level.

On the other hand, in negative view, there is an economic problem. If learner doesn’t have computer and finance to buy it with, then she/he can’t study online. I think it leads educational inequality and it is not appropriate to the purpose of education that education should be given all students equally, so the countermeasure need. Also, students have less social interaction because they not meet other people face-to-face. I think school including university and college, plays a role as the place in which people interact each other. This is because people live in diverse communities and in school, they prepare to society. Therefore, studying online loses some educational function.

In conclusion, I prefer to take a course in class because I want to interact with others and lead the educational equality. The class is the place that students not only study something but also have and improve relationships. Although each person has each level, it is possible to divide the class by the level!

Advantages of learning something online, I think, is easy to access. He/She can connect internet and get nice quilty lectures any time and anywhere. Also, one can meet the celebrities who cannot be met easily by a click.

But, there are some disadvantages if students don’t concentrate on the lectures. Online lectures can be stopped and played by students so it can be learn nothing situation. Plus, It has a disadvantage that someone who doesn’t have any types of equipment to access the online lectures can’t experience the whole things.

Nowadays, with the development of technology, online learning tends to be practiced more and more. Most of the universities began to provide their educational courses online. Also, traditional universities are facing with several challenges such as high tuition fee and course shortage which eventually lead students to look for alternatives. Clearly, online learning is a great alternative for universities, yet it has not only advantages but also disadvantages.

In the past, people consider tradition colleges as the most effective way to obtain knowledge and diploma. However, some people has started to realize that online learning could be a great alternative. Students can choose to study at any time they want. With the high level of motivation, they can finish their work rapidly and focus on other activities and hobbies. Moreover, participants can easily gain a wide range of knowledge in the online course compare to the traditional lecture because they can access to all kinds of resources on the internet. With solely an internet connection, a person can access to a variety of courses anywhere and anytime.

On the other hand, most of the online courses do not provide a personal interaction. Based on the psychological studies, it was proved that competition between the classmates can stimulate individuals to work hard. However, online learning does not offer colleagues to study with. Therefore, students often fail to be self-motivated and have competitive spirit in learning. Furthermore, online learning can be challenging as the online lecturers do not know the specific needs of each individuals. Therefore, students often ignore the core principle of the course even though they do not understand it.

To sum up, online learning can be perceived as a good alternative and complement from the traditional way of learning. However, there are things that online learning can not provide to the participants. Therefore, it is best to consider what suits each student better.

Online learning probably lower the coast. It is cheaper than a traditional campus settings like library, class room and dormitory. In addition, the low price could give a financial help for the students who cannot afford the tuition fee. Also you could feel more comfortable than face to face class. There are no attending time for your class, do no need to get up early to dress-up and also you can take a course sitting in your own cozy chair.
However, the online learning have both sides. In general, getting a motivation from the other learner is almost impossible. For example, if you decided to drop the course, there are no one who can control you to motivate again. Also unexpected technical problems can occur sometimes. You will get a disadvantage when your computer is not working during a time-limit exam on online.

On the plus side, learning something online is not restricted by time and space, so we can learn anywhere and anytime. In addition, it has an economic advantage, because it is relatively cheaper than face-to-face learning. Lastly, if we are highly motivated, we can review the lecture, and learn fast.
On the other hand, teachers may never meet the students, so it has less face-to-face interaction. Moreover, the students cannot ask questions directly to the teachers, so it is difficult for them to understand their students’ specific learning needs. Finally, it requires a high level of motivation.

Through the technological advances of internet, learning something on online which is so-called e-learning is quite common these days. It is innovative, and has great impact on our learning systems. Due to internet and tablet pc, it spread rapidly, and it gave us convenience, but there has also serious problems. Therefore, I’ll talk about its advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, the most important thing is that there’s no restriction of geography and time. these days, you can take well-known lectures which are from prestigious universities in our country and even abroad Universities, even though you are in rural or island. And when you do face to face learning, you might take only one course, but online learning offers wide ranges of selections and great accessibility to you. Moreover, if you don’t understand particular parts of lectures, you are able to repeat the lectures without limit of times whenever you want, as a results it helps to decrease rich-poor gap of education. Secondly, it gives you financial advantages. If you live in countryside, you don’t need to waste your money and time to attending a lecture which is off-line. Finally, if you are highly motivated person, it is the best teacher to you, because you don’t need to follow the curriculums which is in school, so you can just keep studying on your pace.

On the other hand, in online education, negative effect is that you can’t get more detailed informations and feedbacks from teachers, and if you are less motivative, it is not easy to study consistently because there’s no supervision so you might feel educated lethargy. it also bring out a lack of social interaction between teacher and student, so you might not know clearly whether you study efficiently or not. Lastly, there are a lot of entertainments to entice you to playing games and watching You-tube which are useless to focus on studying, this is the reason why it is inefficient to students and can’t get a good score.

In conclusion, online education has various merits and some side-effects. it makes people be free to study in many aspects of circumstances, whereas it is indirect learning which is hard to get advises, and if you are not familiar with self-studying without supervision, it can be lack of efficiency. Therefore, if you want to take online courses, you have to consider your personality and situations, because it could be a double-edged sword.

Online classes are more formal than regular classes, so students can take more smoothly refined classes through editing. It can also listen to lectures efficiently without restrictions of place and time. However, students cannot solve their questions right away because of the distance between teachers and students. In addition, online classes are naturally more distracting than regular classes. The online advantage of allowing students to listen to lectures in the most comfortable state is that it also has a disadvantage of reducing tension.

These days, some schools even changed the method of teaching such as not textbook but digital book. Not only method of reading theories but also method of teaching is changed such as distance learning , internet lectures. However, this has both advantages and disadvantages. The plus side of this is in terms of freedom of choice. This means we can choose the time , the place and the style of teaching on one’s disposal. This also means we can use time valuably. On the contrary, the minus side is efficiency of learning. Most of us already know that we really need high level of will to push the start burton of video lecture. If will to study is weak, it is enough to stop the learning. Also , we can not take feedback such as question immediately. This degrades efficiency of learning something.

To learn something online does not only require you to sit in front of your computer with a pen and a notebook. The level of concentration you need compared to real-life learning is ridiculously high. Simply imagine an online lecture being played on your screen and a bookmark bar right above, exuding its charm through buttons called facebook, instagram, youtube, and etc.. Adding on, if that is the only pitfall of the distant learning, it is definitely a fascinating alternative to the traditional learning method. However, there are more. Even if you succeed in not putting the mouse cursor on the bookmark bar on the first day, you are left with dozen more lectures to take without anybody to oblige you.
Traditional school has teachers, regulations, and classmates that arouse the obligation to concentrate on study. They are certainly a great support for students in their study. However, distant learning has none that oblige you. It is only your pure passion that keeps you learning day after day.

There are two advantages of learning something online. First, learning something online is not restricted by geography. We can learn something online at any time and in any location. Second, we can take economic and financial advantage. There is no need to spend money on transportation because we do not need to go outside.
In contrast, there are three disadvantages of learning something online. First, online learning is heavly dependent on technology, particularly the internet. So if you do not have an internet connection, you can’t listen to the lecture. Second, online learning makes less interaction with people. You can do communication with people through the internet, but it is differ from real interaction. Third, teacher seldom or never actually meet the student. This makes it hard for teachers to understand their student’s opinions and thoughts.

Learning through the online materials, we can carry out an efficient studying. Online studying let us spare our times for much more advanced study. If you already know some parts of the subject, you can just flexibly skip one and go on your pace. That’s because we have more choices of selecting classes and subjects on online than face-to-face learning. Since more and more students have become accustomed to the online platform, many fields of study are trying to reach out to the web learning system. Additionally, this distinct learning practices the equity of education. For example, the city, gangnam-gu has its online educational website for all high school students. Also, the educational broadcast, EBS, has its own online classes which are free. Some people might say that the online education is also a kind of private education which can create a social friction. However, in cases so far, it seems that the online education expands much more learning opportunities than an exclusive ‘private academies’.

Eventhough there are few concerns about online learning, certain advatages of E-learning(another expression for online learning) make it more and more popular.
First of all, students have variety of programs and courses from online than traditional schools. In off-line campus, students are mostly limited to take credits by their majors or few choices of liberal arts. However, all kinds of courses and programs are on online, and it is even possible to study both academic and vocational courses to broaden their careers.
Second, learning online lower total cost and time. It is relatively cheaper than face-to-face learning, because purchasing classroom supplies is not required such as big space, chairs, and desks, which is included in tuition fee in traditional classes. Also, for students, no physical classroom does not make traffic jams and transportation expenses matter at all.
Last but not least, E-learning make education more available and accessible. Some students are impossible to come to campus because of time or location. Online courses allow people to study together from all ages and countries. In addition, with internet connection, students can watch lectures anytime and anywhere with digital devices.
In summary, advantages of online learning make many universities to open more virtual classrooms. Variety of programs and courses, saving money and time, and availabilty of education from E-learning give opportunity to both professor and students to study more effectively.

Online classes have many advantages, but there are many disadvantages as well. First of all, the advantage of online classes is that they are more flexible in terms of time use. In addition, students can take classes in comfortable attire anywhere and also take classes from teachers far away. Therefore, it is convenient to listen to all the classes of different teachers and find the classes that are right for you. It is also easy to review. Like above, online classes have many advantages, but there are disadvantages as well. You won’t be able to take classes if you’re weak-willed because students have a mind that they can listen anywhere at your convenience. There are some cases that students postpone taking classes and give up their classes because of the confidence that they can take classes anytime. And it is hard to make friends because the students who take online classes don’t take classes with peers, and for similar reasons the student-teacher relationship is not strong. Some classes even need field practice, and online classes have a hard time in this area. Therefore, although the advantages of online classes are being emphasized, face-to-face classes will also be necessary until the shortcomings of online classes are resolved.

Firstly, online lecture is a personalized system. The biggest advantage of online lecture is that students can take lectures at anytime and anywhere whenever you are ready. This enables learners to focus on the lecture, when the person is fully already for study. It is an effective way to concentrate on class and spend time.
Secondly, when students think about the time having a lecture it is much more economical than off line lecture. It allows students to take the class more than once, so just thinking about the physical time it is worth it. There are a lot of celebrities, politicians, business man giving a lecture online and they are the people who will never meet in a life. With online lecture, it enables people to broaden learners’ learning and learn more professionals’ knowledge.
Lastly, online lecture saves time and energy. Just going outside from a house requires quiet a lot of time to get prepared. Most of times, people get exhausted on their way to school or work place because of the traffic jam. Moreover, you might save some transportation fee and get freed from the traffic jam stress.

First of all, one of the advantages is that the efficiency and flexibility of learning can be improved because people are not under time or space constraints. For example, I can take an online lecture during commuting time if I carry a smartphone and earphones. This means that people are able to spend their spare time more usefully by learning something online. Another advantage is an accessibility of celebrities’ lectures such as Michael Sandal and Stephen Hawking. It is difficult for an ordinary person to take lectures of those celebrities in reality due to some limits such as geographical problems. Since the video lectures(such as ‘Ted talks’) have emerged, people around the world became to listen to those celebrities’ lectures online.
Meanwhile, there are several disadvantages of learning something online. One of the disadvantages is a necessity of high level of motivation. In other words, people who take online classes should motivate themselves to study hard because the progress of the classes depend on their will and no one gets involved with their learning. If people do not motivate themselves, it is likely that they cannot follow a class or even give up studying.

Learning online has several advantages and disadvantages.
For advantages, it is efficient. We can save time by studying online. If we are good at concentrate, we are able to learn faster and get more information. In a same page, we can end the study earlier if we watch studying materials at 2x speed. Because studying something with online tools is time-efficient, we can manage time more flexibly, making us be able to have more spare time and use it for different purposes such as self-development and enjoying hobbies.
For the first disadvantage, the effect of learning online is very poor if the student’s degree of concentration is low. Also, it is hard to keep students motivated to study voluntarily because most students are still young. If a student has only online learning process, he or she can not meet other people face to face. The student cannot get enough feedback and his or her social relationship would be getting narrower.

Traditional universities face many challenges, including budget cuts and high tuition fees, so students are looking for alternatives. Online education is becoming one of the most popular alternatives.
Online classes have the advantage of being convenient because students can plan their study time around their schedule. Students also save time because they do not have to go to campus. Finally, online classes are generally cheaper than offline ones. This is because students who choose online classes do not need commuting fees or dormitory fees.
However, students who take online classes have the disadvantage that they do not have the opportunity to interact face-to-face with faculty and other students. In addition, online lessons are less effective for students who lack motivation. For example, a student with a low motivation has a low learning result compared to a student with a high motivation due to lack of concentration.
Online classes have these advantages and disadvantages. The results of online classes are entirely proportional to the effort of the students. Therefore students who take online courses should study with a high level of motivation.

Ever since the public got access to the Internet, everything has been virtualized. From online shopping to online banking, there is a lot of advantages the online environment provides. Education is also experiencing a paradigm shift, with more people embracing online education. Online education has become a popular channel for many students to pursue their degree. And online education has many distinct advantages and disadvantages.

    1) Ease of Accessibility: Attend online classes from anywhere. Instructors are available, respond quickly through email and generally are prepared to work with diverse students with a range of lifestyles and needs. This is great because many graduate school students hold down full-time.
    2) Flexibility: Students can access their course at any time, from anywhere they can log on, in most cases. This means that parents, working students, and professionals on the move have the option of attending classes no matter their work schedule. Students only need a computer and Internet access to take online classes.
    3) Range of options: Students may be able to choose from a wider breadth of degree programs. Some online colleges develop and offer degree programs that might not yet be available through nearby public or private institutions.
    4) Cost-effective choices
No more expensive textbooks: Some web-based classes may not require physical textbooks, as reading materials may be available either through the school’s own library or their partnerships with e-libraries and other digital publishers. E-textbooks might offer substantial savings for students, adding up to hundreds of dollars a year.

    1) Isolation and Lack of Community
Although studying at home may create a more comfortable learning environment, students are of course left to tackle the course without the support and camaraderie of fellow peers, and as a result, can become frustrated or demotivated. Furthermore, distance learning centres are often few and far between so face-to-face encounters are very rare. Social network groups offer an adequate alternative but naturally learners will feel more confident about discussing course content if they have previously met their peers.

    2) Technical Issues
Most can relate to the infuriation brought about by a computer randomly switching itself off when work hasn’t been saved, or a poor internet connection preventing you from reading and responding to emails. For distance learners, however, the repercussions of such disastrous moments are far greater. No working device or no internet means you are completely locked out, so it’s crucial that all your devices are functioning properly and you have a reliable internet connection wherever you plan to work.

The history of online learning has been much lasted than we have expected. People have thought the alternatives of face-to-face course. Thanks to the technological developments, online learning has become popular. And as it becomes common, people also have known its merits and demerits. This essay will inspect these characteristics.
In terms of learning methods, online course has no limitation. It means that students can learn whenever and wherever they want if they have computers to access online. It is so useful for students to pace themselves following their own capacity and condition. However, there is no compulsion for students’ studying either. In order to finish their courses, students have to be highly motivated to study.
Interaction must also be considered when we think about distance learning. On a online course, students and their tutors seldom or never actually meet face-to-face. This causes the difficulty to understand each other. Likewise, it is hard for students to develop their personal relationship. Even so, there are other ways to have contact with others. By technologocal advances, students and teachers can interact through messageboards or chatting. This is a reliable substitute of less common online communication.
In short, distance learning has both advantages and disadvantages. Nevertheless, we do not have to be disappointed because there are not any other learning methods that have no drawbacks. What is significant is that we need to strengthen the strength and make up for the weakness of distance learning.

Thanks to the development of technology many of people are now able to access to the internet regardless of time and places. Due to this suitability, it is more comfortable to acquire much of information in any condition. online learning system has been taking the trend exclusively. Through this system, people are now able to gain equal chances to expand their knowledge.
However, in comparison with positive effects, online learning may produce negative circumstances. It is much more vulnerable way to learn something new for people.
For example, online courses may give an equal opportunities to people regardless of time and places limits. However, this only applies to those who can afford the equipment. The purpose of online courses stands for the convenient accessibility. But to whom lives in limited conditions, the purpose of this may turn to be useless. In my personal opinion, online courses would be more practical to people who suffers from lack of environment such as Africa.
To intensify the effects of online education, it is important to provide the best condition for students. The purpose of online courses stands for the students. They are chiefly depends on them. Therefore it is important to balance the structure to fulfill the condition

There are either the advantages or disadvantages of learning things online. One benefit is that people can learn something relatively cheaper. They might do not need that many books or materials because most of contents are on the screen. Another good thing of distance learning is that it is not restricted by time or geography. People can just click the lecture whichever they want to take anytime in everywhere. Lastly, if there is a person who is a highly-motivated, he or she can learn faster and deeper. People can watch as many times as they want so they can practice or study over again and again. On the other hand, there is also a negative side. No interaction could be one of disadvantages. It is hard for teachers or knowers to understand learners or students’ specific learning needs because they cannot communicate well. In addition, if students are not highly-motivated, it is hard for them to finish the course. People might think learning something online could be easier because there is nobody disturbs them. However, that also implies that students may not be able to know the others’ learning pace. Therefore, the learners should be well-organized and self-disciplined.

There are both advantages and disadvantages of online learning. I will talk about three things in each sides. Online learning makes it possible for us to do our own works by ourselves because we can schedule our own timetable. Listening to a lecture at any time is a very practical aspect of online learning. Also, this method of learning helps to guarantee the right to an education. Students who lived in an isolated environment or who disabled could take lectures which they are interested in by only using a electronics. One more thing is we can choose a course that fits our level. This could be possible to strengthen the basics of that fields that you are taking. On the other hand, online learning is needed strong motivation but most students do not have this mind. Therefore, we cannot always catch up with the class and finally the duration of the course is over before we hear it. It also has a limitation that it does not have a question and answer session after the class. Because of this, we cannot interact with teacher and friends immediately. The last thing is if electronics break down, this is maybe a serious problem. We cannot even access the internet for a couple of days.

With technological advances, a new type of learning, online learning, has emerged and increased recently. Consequently, a new concept of higher education has also appeared, which is called ‘virtual university’. Even though there are some drawbacks of distance learning like less social interaction and difficulty concentrating, the benefits of online learning outweigh the disadvantages. There are three main advantages of learning something online.
First of all, online learning guarantees less limitation of time and space. While students have to attend face-to-face learning in a specific class at a designated time, online learners don’t need to take the class at a certain time. Since most online classes are available for a relatively long period of time, we can take the classes whenever and wherever we want. Second merit is its flexibility. As each student has a different learning ability and concentration, online classes ensure students to learn at their own pace. Also, they can regulate the speed and volume of lecturers’ delivery, so it help them to readily get the contents of the classes. Above all, they can review the classes whenever they want. Finally, online learning has a financial advantage. Online learners can save a lot of money to get the degree because they can save the cost associated with using classroom and some devices for education.
To sum up, online learning has three significant merits, which are less constraints of time and space, flexibility and saving money. It is important to be highly motivated so that we can totally take advantage of online learning. Therefore, students need to put great efforts in scheduling and time management.

There are many advantages and disadvantages of online courses.
First I want to talk about the advantages.
It doesn’t depend on time and space. when we have free time, we can learn whenever and wherever. And we can choose what we want to learn. When we notice what is our weak point, we can reply that course again and again. Even we miss the course, we can listen supplementary lessons. And we can adjust the course’s level and speed. When we feel hard to take this course, we can choose better easy course. and when the video’s speed is too slow, we can adjust the speed of that video so we can use time more effective.

But when we take online course, it makes us lazy because there are lot of chance to listen class again. And there are no communication each other. When we have some curious things about the course, we can’t ask right away. We have to write Q&A board, and we have to wait until the answer’s come. And it needs a lot of motivation to study alone.
